Infant Program 6 weeks-12 months

Our Infant Care Program provides a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment for babies 6 weeks through 12 months of age. We understand that every infant is unique, which is why each child is cared for according to their own individualized schedule and needs, while going above and beyond all state licensing rules and regulations by being apart of a Pyramid Model Initiative Site, requiring higher standards and credentials.

Our teachers work closely with families to maintain consistency between home and the center. Infants are fed, changed, and put down for naps according to their individual routines rather than a one-size-fits-all classroom schedule. Each infant has their own designated crib, providing a familiar and comfortable space for rest.

Families provide bottles, diapers, formula or breast milk, and food once solids are introduced. The Whole Child Center provides wipes and crib linens for your child while in our care.

Throughout the day, teachers carefully document each infant’s feedings, diaper changes, and naps, so families have a clear picture of their baby’s day. We value open communication with parents and believe that a strong partnership between families and caregivers is an important part of providing exceptional infant care.

Most importantly, our infant classrooms are designed to be a safe, loving, and engaging first environment for learning. Through nurturing interactions, age-appropriate play, tummy time, movement, songs, stories, and plenty of individual attention, our teachers support each baby’s social, emotional, physical, and developmental growth as they reach new milestones during their first year. We have lower ratios than the State Licensing standards. We maintain a 3:1 Staff/ Child ratio because of our emphasis on a highly responsive level of care.
